Help short track ice speed skater Luke Street get to Canada for training, and Kazakhstan and USA for World competitions.
Christchurch, Canterbury
Luke Street is a very hard working and goal driven 16 year old athlete in the New Zealand Short Track Speed skating team.
We do not have the facilities or the competition that Luke needs to succeed in New Zealand, so he will be spending the New Zealand summer in Calgary, Canada, training at the Olympic Oval, home of the 1988 Olympic Games. He hopes to qualify for the 2025 Junior World Cups in Kazakhstan and the 2026 Junior World Championships in Salt Lake, USA.
The airfares, accommodation and training fees are significant, but he needs to be able to skate with faster skaters and get coaching from specialist coaches to reach his goals.
Please help us raise the money to support Luke in his overseas endeavors.
Luke is a student at Hillmorton High school and will be returning to complete year 13 after the Junior World Championships.
The money raised will contribute to training costs, accommodation in Calgary, and airfares to Kazakhstan and Salt Lake, plus additional expenses like equipment and competition entry fees.
