Help get Luke to Canada and Ireland!

$1,241 of $10,000 goal
Given by 14 generous donors in around 6 months

Fundraising to help Luke and his mum travel to Canada for speed skating and Ireland for Irish Dance.

Christchurch, Canterbury

We are planning on Luke training all NZ summer in Canada, in the hopes of him competing at the Junior World Cup 3 in Quebec, and the Junior World Championships in Calgary in February. Here is a video of him racing in Melbourne at the Aussie Open https://youtu.be/VPiL6D_hf4E

Luke has also qualified to go to the World Irish Dancing Championships in Ireland at Easter.

As he is still a minor, I will also need to travel with him, meaning I will need to take leave without pay for most of the summer, and the Easter school holidays.

We are fundraising as hard as we can, but would appreciate any and all help to get him there. It really does take a village.

All funds will go towards travel (airfares), living costs (accommodation, transportation, food) in Canada and Ireland, as well as any entry fees that arise.

2% Effective Fee
On average, fundraisers pay just 2% to use Givealittle. This is one of the lowest effective fees in New Zealand fundraising. We charge a 5% platform fee to cover the cost of running the platform. Because most donors choose to top up their donation to cover this fee, the effective cost paid by fundraisers is about 2%. That means around 98 cents of every dollar raised goes to the cause.
