The money raised will help get underprivileged mums to medical appointments that they would otherwise not be able to go to.

Faizal, a Board member, is doing his bit and putting his legs and sanity on the line by running in the Auckland Half-Marathon! 21 kms of hard yakka to help raise awareness that mums need support!
In Aotearoa we have an amazing health system that provides free medical support to mums while pregnant. Unfortunately, not all mums have access to transport options to get themselves there. This could be for various reasons, and is more pronounced in the lower socio-economic communities. The Maori community are over-represented in stats such as Fetal deaths, Preterm births, Infant mortality, and Sudden Unexpected death in infancy (SUDI), compared to non-Maori/non-Pacific communities.
During pregnancy, a mum can expect a minimum of 11 midwife check-ups, 1 GP visit, and 2 scans. The money raised will be put towards helping mums get to these appointments, and any other medical appointments that might come up during their pregnancy journey. This will help ensure that they and their bubs are seen by medical professionals and are given the support that every mum deserves! Improving the health of mums and bubs at this stage of their lives plays a crucial part in helping reduce and prevent complications.
We provide support to pregnant women and families with infants.
All the money will go towards our goal of providing transport to underprivileged mums.
