We are fundraising to help pay rescued kitten Gina's vet bills and get her healthy again!
Paraparaumu, Wellington
When Gina, our little ginger dynamo, first arrived at Kapiti Cats, she was anemic from fleas, had worms and mild cat flu. After treatment, she bounced back with an unbreakable spirit.
Last week life threw more challenges Gina's way. After spey surgery, she developed a significant seroma (collection of fluid) followed by severe respiratory infection. On Friday night when her coughing escalated her internal wound opened up and she developed a 10cm hernia. On Saturday Gina went in for a very risky emergency surgery to correct her hernia.
Despite the odds Gina survived. She spent the next day in an oxygen tent. Gina refused to slow down, ripping through her oxygen tent, playing with her oxygen tube, and rejecting her protective cone.
On Sunday ANOTHER seroma developed which she had drained today (Monday). She is still fighting! But with vet bills soaring, we're turning to you, our community, for help. Every donation goes directly to her medical care and gives this brave little fighter the chance she deserves. Can you help us help Gina?
Gina is currently in the care of our cat rescue "Kapiti Cats - Found Minx". We don't know how much her vet bills will come to yet, and any additional funds will go directly to saving other cats in our care.
