Help Give Ivy the Life She Deserves

$317 of $500 goal
Given by 9 generous donors in around 3 months

Helping my rescue Frenchie Ivy get surgery & dental care she needs. She deserves a happy, healthy life with us.

Christchurch, Canterbury

Hi, my name is Xanthe, and I’m fundraising to help cover urgent vet bills for my beautiful French Bulldog, Ivy.

Ivy is a rescue, around 9 years old, who was previously used as a breeding dog and suffered neglect by her previous owner. When she came into our lives four years ago, she was quiet and timid, but despite everything, she has the kindest heart. She’s gentle, loving, and means the world to me.

Right now, Ivy needs medical care I can’t fully afford. Some kind people in my life are helping with costs, but it may not be enough. She has a lump on her side the vet believes could be a tumor. We don’t know if it’s cancerous, but it needs to be removed. She also has severe dental issues likely caused by past neglect. Despite my care, the damage remains, and she’ll need dental surgery under anesthesia to clean or remove several teeth.

Both surgeries are expensive and require her to go under. I’ve done my best to give Ivy the safe, happy life she deserves, but now I need a little help.

After all she’s been through, Ivy deserves a second chance: a life full of comfort, health, and love. Any donation, big or small, would mean the world. Even sharing this helps so much. I’m not the type of person to set up something like this unless it’s something i really can’t afford or very important to me and ivy is the most important thing in my life.

Thank you for supporting Ivy’s healing and helping me give her the life she always deserved.

With love,

Xanthe & Ivy

First Surgery Soon   30 September 2025

Hello everyone! Thank you so much for donating and sharing so much love to my dearest ivy! We have managed to book her in for her first surgery for her teeth extraction and clean for the 14th of October which will be very taxing on us all. She will be put under while they work on her and have specifically instructed she will not be allowed breakfast (she’s going to be very angry at me for all of this). She will be left at the vets all day as they work on her and I’ll be picking her up when she is done. I am so so so thankful for everyone who have helped this to be able to happen, I know this is only the first surgery but she will be so much happier after and I cannot stress enough how much these donations have helped these first steps to happen. Will update again after her appointment xx
