Help Give Screech a Fighting Chance

My girlfriend Julienne (Lei) adopted her cat Screech 3 months ago. She has taken such good care of him and in return Screech has been such a joy to her, providing her with much company and happiness. However, after being adopted, Screech unexpectedly and very quickly became sick, and Lei's pet insurance was unable to cover him. Screech has been suffering from pancreatitis and IBD. He has been vomitting everywhere and is unable to control his number 1s/2s. His current treatment isn't bringing him any improvements. The vets have also recently discovered heart murmurs in him. The vets are recommending he get an endoscopy and biopsy to better understand his condition. Medical costs are potentially totalling $4000, which Lei can't afford. The alternative is to unfortunately put him down. This news has been heartbreaking to Lei. It hasn't been easy for either Screech or Lei. Screech was abused by his first owner and there wasn't much info about his health or age prior to Lei adopting him. Neither of them deserve to go through this.
