Helping give Suz and her family precious time together after her terminal cancer diagnosis returned only months after completing treatment.
Canterbury
If you know Suz, you know she would never ask for help herself.
She is the one who helps everyone else — the one who keeps going, makes people laugh, and puts everyone before herself.
Suz is a loving wife to Darryl and an incredible mum to Ollie (14) and Matilda (12). They still really need their mum.
In July 2024, Suz lost her brother. Only weeks later, she was diagnosed with triple negative breast cancer. While already in treatment, her mum suddenly passed away too.
Still, Suz kept going.
Through surgery, chemo, pain, fear and exhaustion, she kept working. She kept showing up. She kept creating joy for Ollie and Matilda, including their much-loved Elf on the Shelf Christmas tradition.
After 16 rounds of IV chemo, Suz wrote:
“Jason your days are definitely numbered… F you Jason and F you cancer.”
Jason was the name she gave her tumour.
The family dared to hope. Suz completed active treatment on 1 January 2026.
But only months later, the cancer came back.
This time, there is no cure.
Suz now lives with constant pain, some days unbearable. Yet she is still working where she can, because financially the family cannot afford for her to stop.
We are asking for help to give Suz, Darryl, Ollie and Matilda something cancer is trying to steal from them:
Time.
Time together.
Time to make memories.
Time without the crushing weight of financial stress.
If you can help, thank you from the bottom of our hearts. No donation is too small. And if you cannot donate, please share Suz’s story.
FU cancer❤️
Suz is my sister-in-law, and I have seen firsthand the incredible strength, love, and courage she has shown throughout this devastating journey.
To help ease financial pressure so Suz can spend more precious time with Darryl, Ollie and Matilda while living with terminal cancer, including reducing work hours, covering household costs, travel, treatment support, and creating lasting family memories.
