    Dear Supporters,

As we all have reached the longest day of the year, it seems timely to wish everyone who has accompanied Gloria on this path, the warmth of the returning sunlight. All the donations together have provided manifest love and encouragement.

With all the surrounding goodness, we both sense a change and a hopefulness that is guiding us to health and wellbeing. Walking through the long dark night of the soul journey willed on by the strength of others connects us to a powerful source .

    Blessings from us both.

  • Next steps

      2 June 2018

To All our dear friends and family,

We are so touched by your kind donations and want you to know how helpful it has been to feel your kindness and love , it helps walking through each day.

With help from her professional team, Gloria has decided that the residential setting at Red Door is not the right step at the moment. She is going to wait for the next group work sessions starting in two weeks and continue with other support in place.

Since our give-a-little fundraiser has changed we wanted to let you know . Now we would ask for support with extra transport, accommodation , and additional therapies to enable Gloria to move through these next few weeks . My commitment Is to remain in Wellington over these next weeks accompanying Gloria through this transition. We are planning to return your commitment with gratitude for your generosity.

    Wishing you all well,

    Shelley and Gloria.

Just an update to say thank you to everyone who has donated and how encouraging and supportive it has been for me to receive these donations.

I have talked to RedDoor Recovery centre and had an assessment. As well as this I have talked to my counsellor and we discussed what the best option is for going forward. Also today I saw another therapist in my team who is setting up DBT for me (group work) and seems as though she will be a great support for me.

Through all of this, I have come to the decision not to go to a rehabilitation centre at this point in my journey.

There is a definite path opening up in this dark forest, but that is not the way to go, and there is a way that will see me addressing some major issues before dealing with the dependency side of things.

Thank you again for your loving support.

Two very kind and generous loving support people have offered to match any donations 100% up to $8,000. This was most wonderful to find out today. Knowing that I have support means the world to me.

There is hope and light shining through the dark forest I have been dwelling within, so that I may begin to see beauty where once I could see none.

    -Gloria
