Achieving my dream of representing NZ at the Gymnastics World Cup in Bulgaria and Slovenia in May 2024

Ever since seeing the skill of gymnasts on TV competing at the Olympics as a little girl, my dream has been to represent my country New Zealand in gymnastics. Through hard work, training dedication, and a lot of sacrifice, now as an 18 year old, I have been given the chance to try and make NZ proud being selected for the 2024 Artistic Gymnastics World Challenge Cup events to be held in Bulgaria and Slovenia in May. This is my first time representing NZ on a senior elite level, and I am very excited!

No funding support is provided to New Zealand Gymnastics to attend World Cup events, and participation also requires a judge and a coach to travel and attend as part of our NZ team. It is down to myself and my family to meet all the costs of attending this once in a life time event. I work a couple part time jobs to support my training in New Zealand, however the costs of overseas travel, event entry, and contributing to the coach and judge requirements are significant, and with recent huge increases in overseas travel costs especially, this final hurdle to realise my dream has become challenging.

Any contribution to supporting me will go solely toward my travel costs, competition fees and the event requirements for NZ to provide a coach and judge. I don't ask for help lightly and would be most grateful for any contribution toward the costs of this fantastic opportunity and help achieve my lifetime goal of representing New Zealand at the 2 World Cup competitions.
