Margaret asks
Hi Shannon
How is Hayley now as there has been no update since her surgery. In December I left her a donation which I hope she has received. Left her a phone voicemail but received no reply. I feel concerned as to her present wellbeing.
Shannon
Hi Margaret,
We are just working on an update for Haley at the moment. We were waiting on her next scans and oncologist appt. But she’s doing well, surgery healing took a little longer than anticipated but it’s all done now.
She’s busy working and juggling treatments and running a household. Sadly treatment is expensive so the work hours need to continue (but Haley wouldn’t want it any other way I don’t think)
Kylie asks
Hi, my name is Kylie and I am so sorry to hear about Haley's diagnosis.
I work for a charity called TimeOut. We connecting generous holiday homeowners all around the country who are willing to donate a stay to a person diagnosed with an incurable illness so that they can connect & make special memories with family & friends.
TimeOut stays are on hold in the North Island, but we are still able to facilitate them in the South Island. We are still taking applications for the North Island and have a waitlist in place so that we can start organising our stays again as soon as we are able.
If this family are interested in applying or just want to find out more, we would love so assist. They can apply online at www.timeoutnz.org or email info@timeoutnz.org with any questions.
