Hanna's dad Andrii unexpectedly died leaving his family absolutely devastated. When the war in Ukraine broke out Andrii joined the Ukrainian army and had spent the last 6 month at the front helping to fight against the Russian invasion. His wife Natalia and teenage son Luka joined Hanna here in New Zealand in May on a Special Ukrainian Visa trying to get back to the normal life.
With Andrii's death Natalia needs to go back to Ukraine to accompany him on his last journey. The Ukrainians on a Special Ukrainian Visa receive no assistance from the government with all costs of living and costs of coming here being paid by their families in NZ. Your donations will assist in buying tickets to Ukraine and back for Natalia and pay the funeral costs.

Aroha nui for your generous donations. Hanna and her family have been overwhelmed with the support they've received from you via this page and reaching personally. The funeral was held on 30 August with Natalia and Andrii's extended family and friends being there to say goodbyes. Natalia is continuing to stay in Ukraine to settle all arrangements and is looking forward to coming back to NZ and reuniting with Hanna and Luka.
