Help Hayley Walk Again

In February 2024, my life changed in an instant after a paragliding accident in Christchurch. I sustained severe injuries, including a broken back, pelvis, legs, ribs, and life-threatening internal bleeding. Thanks to the incredible medical staff, I survived and spent four months in Burwood Hospital where I began a long road to recovery. Unfortunately the damage to my spinal cord has left me in a wheelchair.

I'm determined to regain my mobility and independence, and I've have been working tirelessly on my rehabilitation. However, the cost of ongoing physical therapy has been a significant burden and not funded through ACC. To give myself the best chance at recovery, I plan to travel to America for specialized treatment combining stem cell therapy with intensive physical therapy. This treatment is my best possible chance of walking again and restoring some mobility.

The total cost for this advanced treatment is around $50,000. My family and I have been saving diligently to cover as much as we can, but we are still falling short. I'm reaching out for your support to help bridge the gap and make this life-changing treatment possible.
