A page set up to help raise funds for Heather as she goes on her cancer journey.
Canterbury
A group of us from the dog agility community have decided to start a page to help Heather on the difficult journey that she has ahead of her. During lockdown, while most of us spent time baking, worrying about when we could go out for coffee and catching up on household chores, Heather at 38 years old was diagnosed with breast cancer. Heather lives alone apart from her animal family, and the news would have been terribly difficult to cope with.
She has started chemotherapy and as a consequence has lost all of her hair. She is not financially well-off, but the wigs that were on offer free were pretty awful, and she chose to pay for a better one. This has led to financial constraints and so we are trying to fund raise to help her pay for the superior wig and put any further funds towards the obvious financial burden that she will face along the way.
Heather has been an enthusiastic member of our agility community for a very long time. She travels in from her rural area to attend any event that is on offer around Canterbury, and has been a valued member of the local club, taking on many of the voluntary positions needed to run it.
Any amount, no matter how big or small, would be truly appreciated.
Heather is part of the dog agility community, of which I am also a part. A group of us decided to get together to help her out during the difficult circumstances she finds herself in.
To pay for Heather's wig and any other costs that are incurred as she battles cancer.
