Wow, what an awesome event to be part of. While I am a little disappointed in my surfing I am not at all disappointed with being privileged to have participated. I met so many wonderful people, my NZ team mates and their lovely partners and fellow passionate surfers from around the world. So many smiles and laughs and great waves. I can't wait to host new friends when they visit NZ.

Thanks doesn't seem enough to say to everyone of you who donated to help get me here. Muchas muchas gracias mi amigos. He tangata he tangata he tangata.

    These arrived in the mail...

I know when I look at these stickers on my boards I will get a huge rush of pride & determination. I'll hold my head high and smile, so damn stoked to be a Kiwi.

You deserve it, you're a role model.

Shippies (cold water, left hand point break) is nearly the complete opposite to El Sunzal (warm water, right hand point break). BUT any time in the water is valuable and sometimes you need to drive hours to find the waves. It was worth it. I felt light and connected to my board and got the happy grin us surfers get when we are having so much fun.

Wow, thanks to you all who have already helped to get me half way to my fundraising goal. I really am so humbled and grateful for your support.

Here's an awesome poster made for me by the lovely Botur family. It is one of the first things I see when I wake & it motivates me to get up & train however I can.
