Help Herald to put a roof on his small family's head, and be able to help him provide mental support to his wife.
Auckland
Herald is losing his wife to mental illness. Herald and his wife and his child desperately need your help in finishing and providing warm and healthy home.
This is Herald and his small family’s story, that really need your help.
Herald met his wife Moreen in 2009 and were inseparable from then. They got married in 2010. Their son was born in 18th October 2010. Herald s wife had no prior education so it was difficult to get a good job. This pushed Herald to buy a crest cleaning franchise ,so they both could work together. They ran the franchise for 2yrs, when they decided to open their own cleaning company.
Herald lived with his parents at that time. Even though they had a Cleaning company they were barely making the ends meet. Herald didn’t give up the fight to provide for his family.
Heralds parents seeing that their family growing, decided to buy a bigger home. They bought a TLC house in Otara in 2013. Heralds family had given him a broken down double garage at the back of the house to build into a one bedroom home for his wife and child.
With the help of his wife, Herald decided to self-build the home. Juggling both the budding cleaning business and building their home, started to get to Moreen. As years went by the home took shape, but the work cost him his wife’s mental health.
As years went by went by the home started to take shape, but so did Moreens illness, as she started to exihibit sighs of anxiety, forgetfulness and fatigue.
In 2019, with a help of one his uncle Herald managed to build some more of his home, adding a little room for his little boy who by now was 9yrs old and needed his own space. The house was far from finished, the roof soffit was unfinished causing this young family to live in moisture filled, Humid and leaky home. This made their son to develop chronic Lung and nasal problems. Leading young Zaimon to have surgeries on his nasal passages. They also don’t have a kitchen, causing Heralds wife to cook outside which was really difficult to do so in wet weather.
Mental Health wasn’t on top of Heralds list, but seeing his wife detoriate , he took his wife to see one of the local doctors.
Dr Sahar Bahnam on Bakersfield medical centre diagnosed Moreen with extreme PMDD[Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder ] it is a severe form of hormonal disorder.
That causes physical and behavioural symptoms.
PMDD causes extreme mood swings that disrupt work, so building the home with his partner in crime became really difficult.
In July 2020, Heralds business took a big hit as one of the big companies that had to let them go, due to the Pandemic. On top of that the builders that Herald had hired to help him finish the home had ran off with the deposit money due to the lockdown. Setting the family further back in finishing the home.
Herald really needs your help in finishing their home. So that he can better concentrate in being there for his wife’s mental health and provide his son with warm, dry home.
I would really appreciate any donations that could go towards the expenses in helping Herald finish his home. Please help in creating a warm, safe home for Herald and his family.

The funds will be used to finish fixing the roof of Heralds home, that will allow him to focus on providing the support and attention needed in his wife's wellness.
