HELP HOSPITALS IN UKRAINE TREAT THE INJURED

$7,240 of $10,000 goal
Given by 75 generous donors in around 8 months

Assisting military hospitals, doctors and volunteers treating the injured Ukrainian soldiers and civilians.

International

I'm a Ukrainian-born Kiwi, who has called New Zealand home for the past 17 years.

In recent weeks I have heard many NZers express a desire to donate to the people of Ukraine, but they are not sure which organisation is best able to channel their funds to the people directly affected by Putin’s illegal & unprovoked war.

I've been in direct communication with many Ukrainians since the start of the war. When I asked where money would be best directed, my friend (Lena Lysenko), pointed me to this non-profit organisation SVOYI. Lena has been volunteering for SVOYI since the 2014 Maidan Revolution in Kyiv, where she met the founders – Iryna Koshkina & Lesya Litvinova. When the war started, she took her daughter & her 73 y.o. mother to safety in W. Ukraine & under heavy bombardment came back to Kyiv to help treat the injured.

SVOYI (OUR OWN or OUR PEOPLE) was founded in 2014 for the victims of the Russian aggression in Crimea, Donetsk & Luhansk. During the COVID-19 pandemic, the fund provided much needed oxygenators to those in need free of charge. They also helped 1,500 patients access palliative care & adult oncology treatments.

Since the start of the war, their focus has been directed towards assisting Ukrainian hospitals, staff and volunteers treating the injured soldiers & civilians (incl children).

Their need is extreme and YOU CAN HELP.

May-July 2022 Donations Sent to SVOYI Charity  30 August 2022

Hello Friends

We have just sent another installment of donations to SVOYI Charity in Kyiv.

Thank you to each and every one of you for your support, financial and otherwise.

As we have grown accustomed to this new "normal", it is important that we have people like you who remember that these are ordinary people just trying to live their lives amidst the chaos and carnage.

You have made a difference, and your help means the world to those who receive it.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Slava Ukraini.

Inna

2% Effective Fee
On average, fundraisers pay just 2% to use Givealittle. This is one of the lowest effective fees in New Zealand fundraising. We charge a 5% platform fee to cover the cost of running the platform. Because most donors choose to top up their donation to cover this fee, the effective cost paid by fundraisers is about 2%. That means around 98 cents of every dollar raised goes to the cause.
