Help Hunter get to the Globe in London

    A massive thank you to you and everyone who donated to help get Hunter to The Globe in London. While the official Giveallittle didn't quite hit the target, I had some direct donations that made up the shortfall. So he's off in a few weeks to live his theatre dreams in London. He can't wait and is still a little overawed by the huge show of generosity that has helped send him on his way.

    Kia ora, all you kind people who have donated to Hunter's Shakespeare trip fundraiser.

    For anyone who is Auckland based and wants to see Hunter on stage, your opportunity is here! He's playing Borachio in an upcoming Stray Theatre Company production of Much Ado About Nothing, set in a 90s high school. He's been rehearsing hard for the season, which starts on Thursday 19 May.

  • 2/3 of the way there PLUS bonus Shakespeare adventures

    Hi everyone,

    Hunter's fundraising is going well, the initial push got us to nearly $6,500! On the Shakespeare front, Hunter has successfully auditioned for a production of Much Ado About Nothing at uni, so there will be a chance for people to see him do his thing on stage without smuggling yourself into his suitcase for London — I'll post details in a future update.

    Wow, I didn't expect to get this far so fast! A bg thank you for all the donations that have rolled in. Hunter's kicked off the university year with an audition and a callback for an upcoming Shakespeare production — fingers crossed...

    Hi everyone! A couple of people have noticed that the total raised has dropped — one donor accidentally added a couple of extra zeroes to their $20 donation, so have been getting that refunded in the background. So still not quite halfway!

  • We're a quarter of the way there!

    Thanks to all of you kind donors so far, Hunter is 1/4 of the way to London (so Darwin maybe?). But seriously - the trip cost is paid in installments, and this covers a big one that is due very soon.
