Help Iyla Attend the Prestigious Interlochen Centre for the Arts
At the beginning of this year, my daughter Iyla poured her heart and soul into crafting her portfolio to apply for the renowned Interlochen Centre for the Arts in Michigan, USA. Interlochen offers a summer boarding program for young creatives from all over the world, and with a mere 6% acceptance rate, it’s a rare and incredible opportunity.
Iyla was accepted!
We couldn’t be prouder of her achievement, as it marks the beginning of an exciting chapter in her creative journey.
About Iyla:
Iyla is a deeply creative soul with a passion for literature. She has been homeschooled since 2020, and it was during this time that she truly discovered her love for writing. Unlike most teenagers, you’ll often find Iyla buried in her books or writing late into the night, pouring her thoughts and emotions onto the page. She has an insightful, raw voice, and her ability to express the complexities of human experience through words is remarkable. There’s no doubt that the books she writes in the future will leave a lasting impact on the world.
Why We Need Your Help:
While Iyla was awarded a merit scholarship and some financial aid, the total cost of attending Interlochen is significant. The tuition alone is $5,586, and we estimate $2,000 for flight expenses, bringing the total to $8,500. This is a huge financial burden for us, and we need your support to help her seize this incredible opportunity.
Iyla is my daughter
The money will be spent on fees and flights
She made it! 22 June 2025
Iyla made the long journey to America! 4 planes- Sydney, Dallas, Chicago and Michigan! She loved the journey and met many helpers along the way!
She is now settled into her cabin at Interlochen School of Arts and starts her program Monday!
