Izzy needs her full life back!! Help her get running again and pain free!
Kingsland, Auckland
Izzy has been diagnosed with Cruciate Disease following an accident she had, resulting in a partial rupture to her ligament behind her knee.
She has had the x-rays to confirm the diagnosis and the plan was to manage it with at home physio, pain meds and Pentosan injections. However over the last week it has progressively gotten worse, to the point it looks like it will be surgery in the new year.
Due to this injury she can no longer do the things that a 2 and a half year old doggo loves doing like seeing her friends at daycare, going for runs on the beach and bushwalks. A simple 10 minute on lead walk leaves her unable to fully use her leg.
I currently don't have an estimate for the surgery as she needs to be referred to a specialist and with the holiday season the vet has chosen to wait until after all the public holidays.
If you have a few dollars spare to help Izzy live her life to the fullest again it would be much appreciated.
Thanks
All money donated will go on Izzy's surgery and vet bills. Any donations that are left over will be donated to Saving Hope Foundation, who rescued Izzy as a puppy. Will provide proof.
First surgery is complete!! 13 March 2022
Izzy has had her first surgery after having to change the date to the 10th of March. The surgery went well and she is doing great, despite a couple of hours in the emergency vet Friday night to get stitched back up again. Has a check up on Monday morning but there definitely is a long road of recovery ahead of us.
