Izzy has had her first surgery after having to change the date to the 10th of March. The surgery went well and she is doing great, despite a couple of hours in the emergency vet Friday night to get stitched back up again. Has a check up on Monday morning but there definitely is a long road of recovery ahead of us.

I have booked Izzy in for her first surgery with Veterinary Associates Takanini on the 7th of March. They have given me an estimate of $4,500 each leg and they come highly recommended from a lot of people.
Even though the cost is a lot cheaper I still need help, which I wish I didn't have to ask for.

After today's specialist appointment we got confirmation that her hips are in good condition, which is great news!
However Izzy now needs Tibial Plateau Leveling Osteotomy (TPLO) surgery on her left hind leg as well as her right hind leg due to Cruciate Disease. I went into the appointment knowing she would need it on her right leg as that's the leg that was diagnosed by her vet and I had in my mind it'll be between 5-10k but she has now been diagnosed with it in her left leg as well and requires surgery on that leg too. The estimate for each leg is between 8-9k so for both its roughly going to cost me 18k, which is a massive shock.
Her pet insurance will only cover roughly 5k and I'm currently looking into other avenues to find the funds. She is my baby and I love her to bits so putting her down is not an option but she is in desperate need of the surgery sooner rather than later.
She loves to be active and it's been so hard watching her unable to live her life to the fullest due to the pain she is in.
I know it's been a tough few years but any spare change would help a lot or even just a share on social media.
Izzy has been booked in to see the specialist on the 16th of Feb, will update once I know the outcome and the quote.
