Help Jasmin Settle Hospital Bills in Singapore

Jasmin, my sister the youngest of three siblings was diagnosed with Guillain Barre Syndrome (GBS), a rare autoimmune disorder which affects the nerves, causing weakness and tingling in the arms and legs, pain and difficulty in breathing that is why she was intubated and was in ICU for two weeks. She is still in the hospital and is now recovering but not in ICU anymore. She is now able to move and lift her arms and hands. She can slowly move her feet but unable to lift yet. Her waist down is still weak. She is still on NGT for her food as her muscles in the throat is still weak and swollen.

Physical therapy during recovery is needed to help her regain strength and proper movement.

She is likely to spend another two weeks in the hospital for recovery and monitoring.

The hospital bills incurred to date is around $SGD 60,000. While the insurance would cover approximate $SGD20,000, my sister would have to shoulder the rest plus hospital bill for another two weeks and the continued physical therapy and consultation afterwards.
