This page has been made to help raise funds for Jason Cooper, to help him fulfill his bucket list and help to cover funeral costs

Not so long ago, Jason started to experience some mild abdominal pains. Within approximately 2-4 weeks he had been diagnosed with terminal metastatic bowel cancer which has spread to his liver and lungs.

Unfortunately, this means he has been told he only has approximately 6-12 months left with us.

Please help us to raise the funds needed for Jason to fulfill his bucket list and help to cover the cost of the funeral.

We will keep you updated with his bucket list goals.

A few years ago, Jason and Ella had a dream of moving to Australia with their 3 young boys.

Covid made this dream extremely hard for them to achieve but after spending approximately 4 months apart, (Jase in NZ with the boys while Ella started work in Australia) they were finally reunited.

Now, just shy of a year starting their new life in Australia, Jase received his diagnosis.

Jason, Ella and the boys are in the process of packing up their life in Australia and will be coming home to NZ very soon to spend as much time as possible with family and friends

Heart breaking update 29 May 2022

Jason, Ella, Caleb, Jacob and Lincoln arrived back in Timaru on Thursday 12th of May 2022. Jase was in quite severe pain on Friday and was admitted to Timaru hospital. Unfortunately, he passed away on Monday 16th May surrounded by loved ones.

It was Jason's wish to come home and spend whatever time he had left with family and friends. Ella and the boys fully supported this and brought him home. Now we aim to show our support for her and help her get back on her feet after this heart breaking loss.

As Jason did not get to do anything from his bucket list, all donations are going to Ella to help with funeral costs and to help her re-establish life here in NZ with the boys.

The wake (celebration for Jason) and the funeral was the biggest cost with over $10,000 to farewell Jason!

On top of this, Ella and the boys need to try and start all over again, this time without her husband and their father.

Ella still needs to get her own place to live and to furnish it. Then there is new school uniforms, stationery and school fees etc.

We will be keeping this page open for donations to help Ella cover these costs.
