Back two hardworking young hockey players chasing their dream
Wellington
Hi everyone!
If you live in our Wellington neighborhood, you've probably seen our sons (JT and Luke) pushing a lawnmower, weeding gardens, or running sausage sizzles. They are on a mission.
They have a passion for ice hockey, and they both are competing in the New Zealand National tournament which runs from July through September. Luke is a 12 year old goalie, and JT is a 15 year old forward. When they aren't practicing on the ice, you can find (and hear...) them in the driveway and garage shooting and saving pucks.
Competitive ice hockey in New Zealand is expensive, and they both want to earn their way there.
The total cost for both boys is $6,000+ and they have earned just over $2,100 so far. We're very proud of the effort they are putting in! Despite their efforts, this is a big hill to climb on weekend jobs alone. We are setting up this page for friends, family, and neighbors who have asked how they can support the boys' journey.
Your support is greatly appreciated and will go towards their travel, accommodation, and tournament fees. Thank you for backing two hardworking young athletes pursue a fantastic opportunity and continue developing in the sport they love.
We promise to keep you all updated on their progress, both on the weeds and on the scoreboard!
