Well, here we are back in sunny Nelson. After three days of jet lag and dozing off at work, I can finally say we are home safe and sound with Jess and Emerald.

This trip was truly magical. From the fanfare and opening ceremony to the gametime hakas, the mix of cultures, conversations in many languages, trading of pins, and sharing of worldly customs and goodwill - Julian’s trip to Branson, Missouri was an overwhelming success.

The team pulled together through thick and thin, battling countries from all over the world. They learned from every game, made new friends along the way, and did New Zealand proud. The team were honoured with the Heart of the Babe Award for Sportsmanship—a celebration of resilience and spirit at the 12U World Series.

On his journey, Julian not only got to play ball, watch Major and Minor League games, and learn what it means to represent his team, himself, and his country with pride—he also discovered what it’s like to be surrounded by amazing people who care. Most importantly, he got to share the field with kids from around the world, all being rewarded for following their dreams through playing a game they love.

We'd like to offer a heartfelt thank you . We couldn't have done it with out your generous support!

    Warm regards,

Julian, Emerald, Jess and Dean —thank you.

    Kia ora everyone,

We wanted to send you a quick update and a huge thank you for your generous support!

Last weekend, Julian attended his first official training camp in Levin—and it was an incredible experience. It was the first time he got to meet his teammates from across the country, and they hit it off straight away. The schedule was packed and very well-organised, with focused training sessions that pushed and inspired him.

He was especially excited to meet his coaches in person and loved the energy and support from the whole team. It’s clear this journey is going to be something really special.

Julian has come home even more motivated and is continuing to train hard every day until he leaves on August 1st. Your support is truly helping to make this dream a reality—we can’t thank you enough.

    More updates soon!

    Hello everyone!!

We have some exciting news to share! Thanks to your incredible generosity, we've been able to reduce our Givealittle goal. With many direct donations and on-the-ground fundraising efforts, we're now over halfway to our original target of $10K!

Julian would like to extend his heartfelt thanks to each and every one of you for your support. We’re so close to reaching our goal!

Thank you for your kindness and continued support. We couldn’t do it without you!

Let's keep the momentum going. Play ball!

    Jess

Julian and his teammate Quinn were recognized at their school for making the team. We are super grateful for the St. Joseph's PTA for sponsoring both of them. Great to have the entire school cheering them on!
