♡♡ Update ♡♡

Thank you so much for all of your generosity, it truly means a lot.

On Friday 2nd March we had a meeting with Julies neurosurgeon and went over the recent MRI. The tumour has grown in size and has gone deeper. It is now close to a ventrical which can make things tricky if it does spread into there. The plan is now surgery, within two weeks, to remove as much of the tumour as possible but there will be some tumour by the ventrical left behind. They will then target that with radiation. This is an aggressive form of cancer so it will grow back. In terms of Life expectancy statistics say 14 months from diagnosis (so that's from August last year)

I have set this page up on behalf of my gorgeous friend Julz, to offer support for her and her family.

On 20th August 2017 Julz went in to hospital. She was put through for a CT scan where a brain tumor was picked up in her right frontal lobe. A few days later Julz had a craniotomy where the surgeons removed as much of the tumor as safely possible. Julz has been diagnosed with stage 4 gliosorcama. It is a very rare (2% are diagnosed) and aggressive brain cancer. Julz finished radiation and chemotherapy at the end of 2017.

Julie has recently been back in hospital due to swelling on the brain - which result in terrible headaches and pain. An MRI has shown that she has significant swelling due to her tumor. She is now on the highest dose of Dex (steroids) possible to help relieve the swelling. Her neurosurgical team are meeting to discuss her treatment plan.

Julie is a very proud Mum to three gorgeous children. Julz is a qualified Beauty Therapist and truly enjoyed her work. However, she is not able to return to work due to her cancer. To say Julie's diagnosis and prognosis sux big time is an understatement but as always Julz is incredibly determined to beat the odds 💛💚

To help Julz do this and to help Julz and her family concentrate on what is important we are asking for help.

Thank you do much for your support, xx

My condolences to all family and friends of Julez. I only met her a few times but my daughter Kyra and her Mum Michelle were very close. We received the news in China so Kyra couldn't attend the funeral, but this is our way of helping out her loved ones through this tough time. Both Kyra and Michelle only ever spoke highly of Julez. She was a beautiful soul and her legacy will carry on through the children. Stay strong. Kia Kaha. Spence, Kyra, Jasmine, Sarah.
