Rugby and rugby league have always been more than just games to me. Through them, I’ve learned discipline, resilience, and pride in who I am and where I come from. Every time I step onto the field, I give my all.

Now, I’ve been given an incredible opportunity - I’ve been chosen to represent Ikaroa ki te Raki (Manawatū/Dannevirke) in the National Māori Rugby League Tournament in Rotorua this May. This is a chance to represent my whakapapa, connect with other talented Māori athletes, and showcase my skills on a bigger stage.

This tournament brings together high-level players, coaches, and scouts from across the country. It’s a pathway — a real chance for me to get noticed and potentially open doors to higher-level teams and future opportunities.

But I can’t get there alone.

Travel, accommodation, tournament, and uniform costs are a big challenge, which is why I’m reaching out for support. Any contribution, big or small, would mean a lot.
