Help Katie chase her Paralympic dream
International
Hi everyone,
My name is Katie, and I’m currently training with the goal of representing New Zealand at the Paralympic Games in either 2028 or 2032.
At just 16 years old, I was diagnosed with bone cancer. My journey through treatment ultimately led to the amputation of my leg above the knee. It completely changed my life, but it also helped me discover a new purpose through para athletics.
Training has given me confidence, determination, and a dream to work towards every day. One of my next major goals is to compete at the Oceania Championships in January 2027, an important step on my journey towards international competition and, ultimately, the Paralympics.
Pursuing elite sport comes with significant costs, including coaching, travel, accommodation, competition entry fees, training, equipment, and prosthetic-related expenses. That’s why I’m asking for your support.
Every donation, no matter the size, will help me continue training and competing while working towards wearing the silver fern and proudly representing New Zealand on the world stage. If you’re unable to donate, sharing my fundraiser would mean just as much.
Thank you for believing in me and supporting my journey. Your kindness and generosity brings me one step closer to achieving my Paralympic dream.
