Raising funds to go to an intensive dance camp in France.

Hi there!

Thank you for taking the time to read my page! This feels very strange for me, as I'm not usually a person to ask for help. Not least of all monetary help like this.

However here I am, and I am asking if you can help me achieve one of my dreams.

This year I am hoping to attend a 'locking' dance camp in France. It is an incredible camp with highly skilled international tutors. And I see this as one of my last opportunities to head overseas and up-skill myself before I become a 'real adult'. I'm a high school dance teacher in Auckland living in the realities of saving for a house and a wedding.

This opportunity has come up at a time where I am more driven then ever to achieve my goals and use the time that I have. While it feels impossible for me to go when I look at finances and numbers, I want to still believe that the impossible is possible and show that to my students. Everything I learn will undoubtedly be poured back into the dance community, much like most of the work that I have done in the dance scene over the last 12 years.

So if you have anything you can spare, and you can help me get there I will be forever grateful and humbled.

Use of funds

Funds raised will be spent on flights and tuition only.

Hi Kat! You might not remember me. I was an exchange student in Auckland in spring 2008 and I attended some of your dance classes as well as break dance jams and open work out sessions which I believe you introduced to me. I remember you being very kind and open person despite the fact that I was an ”outsider” and a foreigner in your country. I’ve always been a passionate dancer and a hip hop girl, and I can fully share your thoughts about having one last chance to do this workshop.
