All gear - 10K's worth got stolen, so help to a hardworking artist [with no insurance] please
Auckland
Keegan Tunks - better known by his stage presence, Velveteen Shakes - had the delightful Christmas present of getting all of his music equipment stolen. During an early December break in, his laptop and musical equipment, including electric guitars, amplifiers, pedals and more, were taken. Despite his own best efforts, and tireless cooperation and patience with police investigators, nothing has been resolved, even with evidence of the laptop’s location and the stolen gear being sold on Facebook marketplace.
Not only was this stolen gear worth over $10,000, but it was also gear that had been scrimped and saved up for over many years of hard work. The stolen gear was top of the line, and served as vital tools for both the passionate hobby and promising career of Keegan.
This has been a significant setback for Keegan’s career and a deeply disappointing end to the year. Keegan has big plans for his music in the new year, and if you can spare a little help to a hardworking artist it would be appreciated more than you could know. (And pretty soon you’ll hopefully be able to say you helped a musician reach number 1 on The Billboard Top 100).
Any donations, no matter how small, will make a huge difference in Keegan’s life and will be greatly appreciated.
