Help Keep the Hawke’s Bay Racing Lawnmower Dream Alive
For the past 9 years, I’ve poured my heart, time, and energy into building the Hawke’s Bay Racing Lawnmower Club from the ground up. What started as a simple passion has grown into a small but proud community where people of all ages can come together, share in the fun, and enjoy the sport of racing lawnmowers.
But right now, I’m struggling to keep that dream alive. Living alone, working long hours just to get by, and dealing with the weight of depression makes it tough to stay motivated. The rising cost of living means that finishing my own mower — and finally building one for my niece so she can join in — feels further out of reach every day.
Racing lawnmowers may sound like just a hobby, but for me, it’s more than that. It’s what’s kept me going through hard times, it’s given others a place to belong, and it’s something I refuse to give up on.
I’m asking for your support to help me finish my mower, build one for my niece, and keep pushing this club forward. Every bit helps — whether it’s $5 or $50 — and every contribution keeps the sport alive in Hawke’s Bay.
Your generosity will not only help me personally, but it will also keep the spark of this sport burning for others who need that same sense of purpose and belonging.
Thank you for believing in me, in the club, and in the idea that even the smallest engines can drive the biggest dreams.
Funds will go toward parts to finish the mowers — wheels, tyres, gearboxes, axles, custom work, paint and powder coating. Any extra will help kit out my trailer or go toward building another community mower
