A Givealittle page sharing Mark’s journey from fatigue to inoperable glioblastoma, helping fund treatment and support his care
Wellington
Mark’s journey started quietly, with what seemed like ordinary exhaustion. He was constantly tired, run down, and not quite himself. Like many people, we initially thought it might be stress, overwork, or something relatively manageable. When tests pointed toward thyroid issues, we hoped we had finally found the explanation and a path forward.
But when things didn’t improve, further investigations led to the devastating news that changed our lives forever — Mark was diagnosed with an inoperable Glioblastoma grade 4, a very aggressive incurable brain cancer.
Since then, life has become a whirlwind of specialist appointments, scans, treatment decisions, uncertainty, and trying to navigate a future we never expected. Despite everything, Mark continues to face this diagnosis with courage, determination, and still manages to keep his sense of humour through the darkest moments.
We are creating this page to help fund treatment to extend Mark's life and ease some of the financial pressure that comes with this journey — including medical costs, travel, time away from work, and giving Mark the best possible support and quality of life moving forward.
Every donation, share, and message of support means the world to us. Thank you for standing beside Mark and our family during the toughest fight of our lives.
Our daughter and I are standing beside our dad and husband through his journey with inoperable glioblastoma, raising funds to support his treatment, care, and family needs during this fight
