🇳🇿 Help Me Chase History on the World Stage

Hi, I’m Kendra Scally-Tu’i, a 17-year-old sprinter from New Zealand and currently the fastest junior female sprinter in the country.

This year, I have been selected to represent New Zealand at the World U20 Championships in Oregon, USA—the biggest opportunity of my athletic career and one I’ve spent years working towards.

I’ve been given a last-minute opportunity to join my squad in Europe for a training camp and two races before the World Championships, helping me arrive in Oregon ready to compete at my best.

My goal is ambitious: to become the first New Zealand female sprinter to make a World U20 Championship final in both the 100m and 200m.

Like many athletes in New Zealand, international competition is largely self-funded. My family and I have invested everything we can to get me to this point, but this unexpected opportunity has created costs beyond what we can manage alone.

My training partners leave for Europe on July 8th, giving me only a short time to raise the funds needed to join them. Missing this opportunity could mean missing crucial preparation before the biggest competition of my life.
