Kim is fighting advanced breast cancer and needs your help to access treatment that could give her more time with her children.
Rolleston, Canterbury
Thank you for visiting.
If you’re here, you likely know Kim or know of her and understand the power of community. Kim is facing one of life’s toughest challenges: her breast cancer has returned and spread. While a cure is no longer possible, her doctors are focused on giving her more time with her children.
Kim was first diagnosed in 2014 and bravely endured surgery, chemo, and radiation. She entered remission and later welcomed a daughter. But in late 2023, the cancer returned. Kim faced more chemo, radiation, and surgery with her usual strength, but just months later, the heartbreaking news came: the cancer had spread.
Her doctors now hope to give her the most precious gift—time. For the past four months, Kim has been taking the oral chemotherapy drug Capecitabine to slow the spread of the disease. However, her specialist at St George’s Cancer Care has advised that it will eventually stop working. When it does, her best next option is Trastuzumab Deruxtecan (T-Dxd).
The challenge? Trastuzumab Deruxtecan is only partially funded in New Zealand. Kim needs to raise $60,000 to access it.
We’re asking for your help. Every donation, big or small, helps give Kim more moments, more memories, more love.

Together, we can give Kim the gift of time.
The funds raised will cover the shortfall needed to access Trastuzumab Deruxtecan, a vital drug that helps slow the progression of stage four breast cancer, giving Kim more time with her children.
