Help Knox Vartiainen Compete in the Las Vegas Jiu-Jitsu Con International Championship 2023
Taupo, Waikato
Knox has started his journey in Jiu-jitsu almost 3 years ago, a couple of months before COVID hit. With lockdown in place Knox had to stop training for around 6 months. Knox had then a full year of training, from August 2020 till August 2021. Lockdown struck once again and he didn’t return to action till December.
2022 was his first year competing, at just 7 years old, and it was a spectacular one, with 18 podiums out of 19 competitions.
Knox placed 3rd in New Zealand in the Jiu-jitsu National Championship and took 1st place overall under the NZBJJF.
Knox is a very active boy and loves his sports: motocross, rugby, mountain biking, hiking to name a few.
Knox has the commitment of an adult and always gives 100% in everything he does.
Knox is very focused and determined. He’s been training 3 to 5 times a week. Also some rolls with mum and dad at night.
Knox needs this opportunity to represent NEW ZELAND in Vegas - September 2023, to show the world what this little 8 year old, kiwi boy has got.
I am Knox's Mum
We have set this give-a-little page up to help fundraise towards flights and accommodation.
