Help Kori through her hospital journey

Hello and good day to you all!

My name is Kori and I'm turning to Give a Little and the generosity of those around the world to help me and my unfortunate situation!

I've been in hospital for 1 week (and counting) for a bowel bleed and digestive complications, as well as to diagnose lumps that have since been found on my liver. I was admitted to the ED in my last week of employment with my old employer and have been here since undergoing numerous tests to alleviate my pain.

Unfortunately, I was due to pursue my new career in accounting this week and that has been held up due to my hospital journey. As I was admitted to hospital in my last week with my previous employer, I am now in the situation where I am not receiving an income whilst in hospital. (I am not entitled to sick leave as I have technically not yet started my new employment).

I am fundraising for assistance to cover my expenses and bills for this period that I am in hospital as my health insurance does not cover loss of income. I am also not eligible for assistance from WINZ as they consider me as being in paid employment (as I have signed my contract, though yet to commence my tenure). This is why I have turned to Give A Little to sincerely put my hand up and ask for help as many people will understand the impact of losing 1 weeks plus of income.
