Every day across Waikato and Counties Manukau, our young swimmers are putting in the work long before the sun comes up. Countless laps, endless dedication, and the dream of one day representing Aotearoa on the international stage. But for many, that dream is halted, not by talent…but by cost.

Financial support is limited, especially at development level. Families often carry the full burden of international travel, entry fees, accommodation, and team expenses — often totaling thousands.

But you can make a real difference!

Swimming Waikato has launched our International Pathway Scholarship Appeal, helping developing swimmers who are selected to represent New Zealand but don’t yet receive high performance funding.

Every dollar donated goes directly toward scholarships for:

• Entry fees

• Travel costs

• Accommodation

• Essential team expenses
