Dave has just had his 30th dose of Keytruda, and is continuing his treatment every three weeks. Dave’s last results were optimistic - there was no noticeable increase in the size of his tumors. Apart from feeling zonked after his treatment Dave says he’s feeling “Fit as a flea” (whatever that means). He has been spending quality time with the kids (managed to kayak the wrong way from Christchurch City center for a couple of hours - kids not too impressed).

Dave says “In general I'm one lucky ol devil! Hope everyone out there is enjoying the company of loved ones and appreciating life in ol’ Aotearoa! Best wishes to all.”

We've decided to extend the Givealittle for another few months and Dave and Reecy are still needing support. Dave’s condition is stable - but not cured. Reecy has just started her third year of study.

Massive thanks to everyone who has supported them so far.

  • News on Dave's Health!

Dave's Keytruda treatment is working exceptionally well, and according to his oncologist, Dave is heading into new and unknown territory due to his longevity and health.

He's outlived all others his oncologist has seen with the same diagnosis. The tumours are still there but with zero growth going on, the treatment is a massive win.

Dave celebrated his 60th birthday recently — something which wouldn't have otherwise happened.

He's been enjoying life — been mountain-biking out at Little River, making his suitcase speaker units (take a look at the Gallery), looking forward to the ski season and having some fun experiences with family and friends.

Dave will be having another scan in a few months to compare the size of the tumours again, and to check if there is emergence of anything new. We'll keep you posted. xx
