Please help me to do the Polar Plunge in Antarctica to support Surf Life Saving, Endometriosis NZ, and Restore Native Trees for Tairawhiti
Cambridge, Waikato
Kia Ora! I'm heading to Antarctica as part of Homeward Bound - which is a global leadership initiative for women with a background in STEMM that focuses on the sustainability of our planet and a need for a change in the leadership model.
While I'm down in Antarctica, I think I need some motivation to get in the icy cold water and do the polar plunge - what better way to motivate myself to do so if this was to benefit others!
Hence why I've set up this Give a Little page to help raise funds for three charities that I am passionate about what they do –
1) Surf Lifesaving NZ – these people keep us save while we enjoy our beautiful beaches and help our children to learn vital water skills, which I think is crucial since we live on Islands and surrounded by water;
2) Endometriosis NZ – I suffer from endometriosis and think that this organisation does a great job of raising awareness and understanding to help others;
3) Restore Native – they do a lot of great restoration work with farmers and are donating trees to the farmers that were impacted by Cyclone Gabrielle – Trees for Tairawhiti.
So please help me to support them and I will do the polar plunge – if I reach $1,000 to distribute amongst these three great initiatives, I will do this in my kiwi costume!!
Thanks so much 😊
As above, I am passionate supporter of all three charitable initiatives.
I enjoy our beaches and am kept safe by Surf Life Savers, I suffer from endometriosis, and Restore Native help farmers impacted by Cyclone Gabrielle.
The money will be equally split amongst three great fundraising initiatives:
1) Surf Lifesaving NZ;
2) Endometriosis NZ;
3) Restore Native – Trees for Tairawhiti.
