So after 6 weekly chemo cycles we have confirmation that my 7cm growth is unable to be felt now and viewing on PET CT scan sees a significant decrease down to about 1cm. This has reduced enough to operate (hysterectomy) and be cured of this disease. The team, myself and my family and friends are very pleased with this outcome. This journey has not been easy for me, I felt all the horrible side effects of chemo and I'm so very glad they are over with. My surgery will take place by the end of next week and I will be due home by the 4th of April. This journey has extended longer than expected so again we thank you for all your support as this would not be possible without all of your kind donations.

What a massive culture shock in the first week!! Oh how I'm glad my dad was able to come over for a week to help settle me in.

On the 3rd day after arriving I went for a meeting with the team and oncologist and blood samples taken, sent off for analyzing. The following day for PET CT, images given to me straight after and results discussed with me later that evening, confirmed staging was still 2b thank goodness.

5th day after arriving first chemo day, this also included other therapies like IV Vit C and then 5 Nutraceuticals to commence 2 days after Chemo. I have since had another treatment and my 3rd round is tomorrow. I am beginning to find a routine here and although I miss Shannon and the kids, I am busy with treatment days, down for 3 days after and then a day off, back in for bloods before next treatment day. I am coping so far and determined to beat this and get home! The care team and hotel staff here at Ahuja Residency have been amazingly supportive, they give their personal phone numbers to ensure I'm able to contact anyone for support.

Genomic testing results are back and by tomorrow I will be starting my new personalized plan. Thank you again to everyone who has helped in making this financially possible 🙏

Firstly, we appreciate all of your love and support immensely!

Lisa has made the difficult decision to leave her family in NZ behind for a minimum of two months, as she travels to India (departing Saturday the 25th of January) to receive treatment. This is NOT publicly funded but Lisa will receive urgent and personalised treatment.

On Monday the 27th, a liquid biopsy, bloods and PET CT will be done and testing will be sent to Athens for analysis costing $9,000 NZD. The analysis will include data on mRNA biology of the cancer. The cancer is grown in petri dishes, where different treatments are introduced to determine which is the most effective. When the most effective treatment is determined, a treatment plan, consisting of traditional cancer treatments (chemotherapy), repurposed drugs, natural remedies and nutrition is generated. Standard treatments (chemotherapy) is likely to start immediately whilst awaiting results. Lisa will receive weekly treatments for 6 weeks ($4,482/w - Total $26,892). Accommodation costs will be anywhere between $2,000 and $4,000 in total.

After an appointment with NZ oncologists and medical professionals on 15/01/25 Lisa has been made aware that treatment in NZ will not start for another 3-4 weeks and has severe side effects. It is incredibly vital to us that Lisa begins treatment immediately given the aggressive nature of her cancer.

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

Well it's decided, I'm going to India 25th of January for at least 8 weeks 😬. The hardest decision of my life but it's my life on the line so an important decision. I couldn't do this without the love and support of my Husband (to be) and two boys 💙 Knowing they support me with everything I decide is what will keep me strong and positive.

I also have amazing support from my mum, step mum and my dad, with organizing flights, accommodation and house sitting so I can get out and about is all so very much appreciated. My beautiful father will travel with me initially and stay for my first week 💖 at 38 it is still important for a child to be supported by her parents xx I will update on my journey!!

All the kind words, encouragement, offers of help, advice, information and donations are so valuable to us 💕 thank you

I've been brought to tears many times at the sight of all your contributions. Some of you I never expected and this proves how wonderful and special you are as human beings ❤️ thank you everyone. I will update again soon as I have a potential opportunity for me to get treatment in India.
