Raising funds to give Lola, a rescued street cat, the dental surgery she urgently needs
Saint Johns, Auckland
Lola is a stray cat who used to wander around my house for a long time. She was always shy and kept her distance — never quite letting us close. But over time, and especially during the cold nights, something changed. Little by little, she began to trust us. She started coming inside to stay warm, and we slowly became part of each other’s lives.
One day, I decided to take her to the vet — just to make sure she was okay and to check if she had a microchip or a family out there. She didn’t. But what we did find was heartbreaking: Lola has a serious dental infection, and she needs full dental removal to live without constant pain.
Right now, she’s on antibiotics (Antirobe) and anti-inflammatory medication (Metacam) to manage the infection temporarily, but the vet was very clear, she absolutely needs surgery as soon as possible.
I could’ve taken her to a rescue, but many are overwhelmed and may not be able to help quickly. So I chose to take responsibility for her — because she trusted me.
The cost of the dental surgery is more than I can afford on my own, so I’m reaching out for help. Every dollar donated will go directly toward her vet care, medications, and recovery.
Please help us, Lola may be a street cat, but she deserves a pain-free life full of comfort and love.
Thank you 💛
