Help send James and Breanna to Melbourne with the NZ Youth Development Tenpin Bowling Team
Canterbury
Firstly I am setting up this page for one reason only. These kids are amazing kids. They have the right values and always help out. They are by far the two best youth bowlers in the South Island. They are more than happy to work for the funds and are actively looking for jobs now. I suggested this as well because of the amount required.
James and Breanna have been given an amazing opportunity to be able to travel to Melbourne with the New Zealand Development team to compete in the Australian Youth Cup Tournament from January 11th 2020.
These twins have competed for Canterbury in the Junior and Youth Nationals racking up close to 100 games each (which they will get to next year in Kapiti). They have both bowled for the past eight years.
Unfortunately Tenpin Bowling is not a subsidised sport in NZ so it costs bowlers in the $1000s every year.
Their mother, Cathy is due for a total hip replacement in a couple of weeks and has had to give up work until she is fit to return. She has Rheumatoid Arthritis and Osteoarthritis and the surgeon has said a hip replacement is required because of the Prenidsone she was on. She also requires a knee replacement at a later stage yet she will usually find the funds to help her kids travel around NZ a couple of times a year for tournaments however this time she just doesn't have enough time to get the funds together.
I am a supporter of these kids. They are such good kids and they deserve to be able to follow their Tenpin Bowling dream. Due to the short time frame for when this is happening, Cathy is unable to have the funds available in time
Funds will be spent on Flights, Accommodation, Entry Fees, Purchase of Uniform, Petrol and Rental car and some basic living costs for the time spent in Melbourne
If there was anything extra it would likely go towards the team trip to Nationals 2020
