Helping Mary travel to the UK to settle her mum's estate and scatter her ashes.
Red Beach, Auckland
I'm reaching out on behalf of my dear friend, Mary, w
Last year, Mary lost her mum here in New Zealand. Since then, she has been trying to travel back to the United Kingdom to settle her mum's estate and honour her final wishes by scattering her ashes.
Sadly, financial hardship has made that impossible.
As if losing her mum wasn't enough, this year Mary's youngest daughter has had to undergo major medical treatment, placing an enormous emotional, physical, and financial strain on the whole family.
Like many families, they have simply been trying to get through each day while juggling medical appointments, raising two young children, and covering the rising cost of living.
This trip isn't a holiday and it needs to happen quick because of the estate's timelines . But it's also a chance for Mary to finally lay her mum to rest, settle her affairs, and find some long-awaited closure after an incredibly difficult couple of years.
We're hoping to raise funds to help cover flights and the essential costs of travelling to the UK so that Mary can finally fulfil these important responsibilities and finally have the closure she has been needing for so long.
Every donation, no matter the amount, will make a real difference. If you're unable to contribute financially, sharing this page with your friends and family would mean just as much.
Thank you for your kindness, generosity, and for helping Mary and her family through this incredibly challenging time.
Mary and I are friends
Donations will go towards Return flights for Mary and her children, every day life costs while in the Uk.
Thank you. xxx 23 July 2026
"honestly overwhelmed by everyone's kindness. I don't have the capacity to thank each of you individually right now because we're in the middle of so much with Mum's estate, travel, and caring for my girls, but please know I've read every message and every donation means more than I can say. Thank you for helping us through this incredibly difficult time."
