Life saving operation needed please.

Hi my name is Indy - I am a 4 month old flat coat retriever / Labrador cross that needs urgent surgery. The fracture in my right front leg has caused major problems in my right elbow, and my left elbow needs reinforcing to prevent a fracture in that leg as well. While I am asleep, my doctor also wants to fix both of my hips, to avoid further painful operations later on. This surgery can only be done on puppies 5 months or younger so I am booked in for this Friday 20th October. It is important you understand that my mum and dad who adore me (understandably) want to do everything they can to help improve my quality of life - I am too young to die!!
I have a super nature and am very easy to love. My mum has had a really, really tough 2023 and she tells me I am the only bright spot in a pretty lousy year. She has taken me for visits to my nana in hospice, and even after nana went to be an angel, I have been back to bring joy and comfort to other families I met during my visits with nana.

Indy's post-operation update 23 October 2023
Hi everyone, just wanted to give you an update on the progress so far. I had the surgery on Friday Oct 20th as scheduled - a big shout out and thank you to the team at the Stoke Vet Center for taking such good care of me!
I woke up to find stitches in my belly and legs, bald patches all over by body and a bandage from my the tip of my toes to my shoulder on my front leg. I have plenty of pain medication to take and have been ordered to take it very quietly for the next 6 weeks, so mum has to keep me in a crate most of the time - no fun for either of us. My doctor says it will be a few months before we know if the surgery has been successful, and I still need more x-rays and check ups to make sure that things are going to plan. I have included a photo of me with my dad, and as you can see he is spoiling me rotten - and I love it!
