Helping fulfil a mum’s dying wish to see Queenstown with her family one last time before cancer takes her mobility and time.
Auckland
My family member has just been diagnosed with stage 4 terminal cancer. It’s in her spine, and doctors have given her only a small window – around two weeks – before she begins radiation and loses her mobility.
She’s never been to Queenstown. It’s her dream, her dying wish – to see its beauty just once, surrounded by her family.
my daughter – her moko (granddaughter) – is incredibly close to her Nana. She’s spent two days every week with her since she was a baby, and the photo on this page is of her – because her smile brings joy and a bit of cuteness to this heavy moment.
The family is spread all over New Zealand, and they don’t yet know I’m doing this – but I want to try and make it happen. To help them all come together for one last, precious weekend.
Funds raised will go toward travel, accommodation, and whatever’s needed to make this time as special and stress-free as possible. Any support you can give means the world. Even sharing this helps.
Thank you for helping me give her something beautiful to hold onto in these final days.
