Help Ken lead New Zealand's team at the Karate World Cup in Japan as captain, after years of dedication to JKA shotokan karate.
Wellington
My name is Ken and I have been training in JKA Shotokan karate since I was 6 years old.
This year, I have been given an honourable position as a team captain for JKA New Zealand, competing at the Karate World Cup in Gunma Japan!
Karate has been a major part of my life, where I have learnt many aspects of life such as commitment, focus, diligence, discipline and respect through many years of hard training.
I’ve had the privilege of competing at the national level since I was 14 and at the global level at 17. This will be my third time representing New Zealand, and I am deeply grateful for the support and belief that has brought me to this point. However, as you can imagine the journey to the World Cup comes with significant expenses.
If you're able, any contribution would help me lead the New Zealand team and support our efforts at the World Cup in Japan.
I am truly thankful for the generosity of my supporters and promise to give my all in representing New Zealand with pride and dedication.
Thank you for your time and support.
Funds raised will go towards flights, travel costs, entree fees and training expenses. Any additional funds will be invested in supporting other JKANZ team athletes to compete in Japan.
No goals!! 1 September 2024
The fund goal was set up initially to cover just the logistics expenses. Please don't worry about reaching this goal, and thank you so much for the overwhelming support!!
