If you'd told me a few years ago that I’d be representing New Zealand at the 17th IDBF World Dragon Boat Championships in Berlin, I’d tell you ya dreaming Daryl!

How it started:

After struggling to return to sport following breast cancer, my Aunty gently encouraged me to try dragon boating — sharing how powerful it can be for both physical recovery and mental wellbeing.

I've been lucky to paddle across both the North and South Islands, meeting incredible people from dragon boat to Waka and falling in love with the sport—and now, I have the chance to compete at worlds.
