3 December 2023Surgery was completed in August and the Doctors managed to remove 90% of the tumour. My mom has completed her radiation therapy and is now on some chemo tablets and we will know how successful the radiation therapy was by 19 December.
The hope of the surgery and treatments is to give my mom a bit more time to enjoy her life and to prevent the cancer from spreading to the rest of her brain and to stop it from affecting the functioning of the rest of her body. Unfortunately it is a glioblastoma, which is incurable, so the best we can hope for is more time for her to enjoy the life she has and for her overall health to be taken care of during this time. Of course, nothing is impossible for God, so our trust and hope lies in Him and we thank Him daily for the blessings during this time - as well as thanking all of the donors who enabled us to raise enough funds to cover the shortfall from the medical aid to have the surgery done.
