Hi, my name is Serena Sligo a proud mother of three amazing children—aged 18, 15, and 10. They are my world, and everything I do is for them.

In 2003, I was diagnosed with thyroid cancer, and that was just the beginning of a long journey through illness and treatment. Last year alone, I underwent 35 rounds of radiation therapy and 7 grueling rounds of full-day chemotherapy after being diagnosed with HPV 16-related squamous cell carcinoma. The toll this has taken on my body has been immense, but I continue to fight—for my health, for my family, and for the life we are building together.

Now, I face another painful daily challenge: chronic and debilitating back pain caused by the size and weight of my breasts. It impacts my mobility, my sleep, my energy, and my ability to care for my children the way I want to. After many consultations and medical assessments, it’s clear that a breast reduction surgery is necessary to relieve this pain and improve my quality of life.
