Help me represent New Zealand at the 2026 UCI Junior Downhill MTB World Championships

    I’m now back home in New Zealand after an incredible few weeks in Europe and wanted to say a huge thank you to everyone who supported me along the way.

    I had the opportunity to race at the UCI Downhill World Cup in Les Gets, France, and represent New Zealand at the 2026 UCI Junior Downhill World Championships in Val di Sole, Italy.

    The conditions in Les Gets were extremely muddy, and after a few crashes I missed qualifying. At the World Championships, I ran off track during my race and missed out there as well. While the racing didn’t quite go to plan, the results were never the main focus for me. The experience of travelling to Europe, racing at this level, and representing New Zealand was what this trip was all about.

    I’ve learned so much, met some amazing people, and gained valuable experience that will help me moving forward in my racing.

  • 🇳🇿🇫🇷🇮🇹 Final Countdown – Europe Here I Come!

    Tonight my dad and I leave New Zealand and begin the journey to Europe for the biggest races of my season.

    Before the World Championships, I’ll be racing in the UCI Downhill World Cup at Les Gets, France, which will be an incredible opportunity to compete against some of the best riders in the world and gain valuable experience on the international stage.

    The following week, I’ll be proudly representing New Zealand at the 2026 UCI Junior Downhill Mountain Bike World Championships in Val di Sole, Italy. Wearing the silver fern and racing for my country is something I’ve worked towards for many years, and I’m incredibly excited for the opportunity.

    As I get ready to leave, I want to say a huge thank you to everyone who has donated, shared my Givealittle page, sent messages of support, or helped me along the way. Your generosity has helped make this trip possible, and I am so grateful for every contribution.

    Whether you’ve supported me financially, encouraged me at races, or followed my journey from home, thank you for being part of it. I couldn’t do this without the amazing support of my family, friends, sponsors, and wider community.

    I’m looking forward to making the most of this opportunity, representing New Zealand with pride, and giving it everything I’ve got.

    In just over two weeks, I’ll be heading to Europe for the biggest races of my season. Before the World Championships, I’ll also be lining up at the UCI Downhill World Cup in Les Gets, France – an amazing opportunity to race against the world’s best and gain valuable experience before representing New Zealand at the 2026 UCI Junior Downhill MTB World Championships in Italy.

    Training has been going really well, and I’m counting down the days until I get to wear the silver fern and give it everything I’ve got.
