This page supports my journey to represent New Zealand at the U24s World Ultimate Championships which helps me cover the costs for the event
Wellington
Kia Ora everyone,
My name is Agasthya, known as Gus in New Zealand. I’m thrilled to have been selected to represent New Zealand at the Under-24s World Ultimate Championships in Logroño, Spain, in June 2025.
I started playing Ultimate Frisbee in January 2023 after discovering a group playing near my home in Wellington. Since then, I’ve dedicated myself to the sport, moving up the competitive ranks. Over the past two years, I’ve been fortunate to achieve:
- Equilibrium: Most Valuable Player (Male) Division 2 (2023)
- Emerging Player of the Year Nominee (2023)
- Wildcats (A): Won Division 1 Champions at NZUC (2024)
- BIG Ultimate Club: Currently competing in NZMUC Division 1 (2024)
- VUW: Tertiary Champs (2023, 24); won MVP of the Tournament (Male; 2024)
- Qualification Tournament Wins: Poneke Pick, Manawatu Maelstrom, and Tamaki Throwdown (2024)
Ultimate Frisbee is a rapidly growing sport, but because it’s not yet part of the Olympics, sponsorship opportunities remain limited. As a result, players like me often have to cover our costs for international competitions.
Representing New Zealand on the world stage is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, and I’m ready to give it everything I’ve got. Your support will help cover travel, training, and accommodation costs, allowing me to focus fully on the tournament and make New Zealand proud. Any contribution, big or small, will make a world of difference and bring me one step closer to my dream.
Thank you for your support and belief in my journey!
All the money will be used for accommodation, training, travel, and more.
